Yes, the Smart Recovery Tag can be read using any QR Code reading app. The QR Code can be scanned also with the unique web address found underneath the QR Code beginning with "v2t.co/".
What information can I put on my key’s profile?
The Key Owner has the ability to put their basic contact information as well as an additional contact -all with the option for privacy. Your key's basic details include color and status. I found a Smart Recovery Tag, what do I do?
To report a found key tag, scan the QR Code located on the back of the tag with your smartphone. Your smartphone will display the key's unique profile with important information such as the key owner's contact information and more. When prompted to share your location, click "Yes". Be sure to call/email the owner to ensure the keys' return home. If you do not have access to a smartphone, you can enter in the key tag's unique web address beginning with "www.v2t.co/" (ie: www.v2t.co/A1B2C3) into your browser to view the key owner's contact information. If your keys were to go missing, we recommend changing your key's status to "MISSING". Please contact us if you are curious to know how to read your Google Map. Smart Recovery Tag guarantees the key owner will be contacted if we receive a report of a found key.
How does the GPS feature work?
When the Smart Recovery Tag is scanned, the location data on the device the user is using is automatically saved and stored onto your key's profile. Along with the storage of the data, we will email you an auto-alert with the map's coordinates.
